Day 5 - Guanacaste: Rincon de la Vieja National Park

Today was a pretty relaxed day. It began with a nice breakfast provided by the hotel. After breakfast, the bus took off to one of Guanacaste's national parks. During the hike, there were many interesting things. In several areas, there was boiling mud. The low areas collected rain water, which produced mud, and the heat from the volcano produced the temperature for the mud to boil. It felt like a scene from Jurassic Park. There were also interesting creatures. There were spider monkeys in the trees above and large lizards wandering around.
After enjoying Costa Rica's beauty, we were allowed to relax by the pool. Since Costa Rica's sun is strong, sunscreen was applied often. There was music and a delightful game of volleyball. Right before dinner, it was time to shop around a little. The town was pleasant and there were a lot of cute shops. It was a great final day in Costa Rica.
